Privacy Policy — Guarded Restock Alerts
Data We Collect
The app stores customer email addresses when shoppers submit a back-in-stock request. Each request is associated with the shop, product, variant, consent timestamp, request status, and notification audit records.
The app also stores merchant settings such as sender name, notification mode, low-stock threshold, merchant email for digest delivery, and selected plan name.
How We Use Data
Customer email addresses are used only to send requested back-in-stock notifications. Merchant email addresses are used to send low-stock digest emails. Inventory and product identifiers are used to decide when a request is eligible for notification and to prevent accidental sends.
The app does not sell customer data and does not use customer email addresses for unrelated marketing.
Retention
Back-in-stock request records are retained while the merchant uses the app so the app can preserve consent history, deduplicate repeat requests, and maintain an audit trail. Merchants may request deletion of customer data at any time.
Webhook event records are retained only for operational deduplication and troubleshooting.
Deletion
When Shopify sends a customer redaction or shop redaction webhook, the app removes or anonymizes applicable personal data according to Shopify requirements. A merchant can also request deletion by contacting support.
If a shop uninstalls the app, stored shop settings and request data are eligible for deletion after any legally required operational retention period.
